The body of a young member of the Jesus Lives Crusaders has been found in a field near his lodgings at Bugbrooke.
Police say that foul play has been ruled out. They think 26-year-old Mr. David Gavin Hooper died of exposure.
He had been missing from his lodgings at 16 Waggoners' Way, Bugbrooke, since December 4. His body was found at about 8 am on Saturday by a local man, who was walking his dog in some fields near the village.
The body was identified yesterday by the dead man's father, of Headly Surrey, and a post mortem examination will be held later today.
Mr Hooper was an articled clerk at the Daventry firm of solicitors Stops and Burton. A spokesman said today the firm had no comment to make on his death.
Mr Hooper was an associate of the Jesus Fellowship. A representative for the minister, the Rev. Noel Stanton, said that Mr Hooper's father has asked they should give no details of his connection with the Fellowship.
