The Jesus Army has vowed to return to Northampton town centre despite demolishing two phone boxes on their last visit to Abington Street.
Last Saturday dozens of Christmas shoppers watched as the Christian group's rainbow coloured double-decker bus, bearing the slogan Jesus People Loving People, lurched forward smashing two phone boxes and uprooting the pavement.
John Campbell, the organisation's communications officer, said: 'It was just one of those things that happen.'
'Fortunately no one was injured and we will be returning - if not this weekend then certainly in the New Year.'
