Street entertainment can be amusing, but a demonstration by the Jesus Army on Easter Saturday was just a nuisance, said a town centre shopper. Their musicians were playing for too loudly and there were so many of them that they obstructed shoppers, he said.
'They made it difficult for people who simply wanted to go about their business,' he added.
Liz Donovan, spokesman for the Jesus Army, said: 'We are glad to have feedback from people and hear their comments. We do not wish to be a nuisance and we are sorry our music was too loud. But at Easter time we do want to bear a Christian witness.'
