A 70th anniversary celebration gave staff at White and Bishop an excuse to kick up their heels.
Workers at the store in Bridge Street, Northampton, have been delving into the past throughout the week.
Those on the shop floor will be dressed in 1930s clothes until Saturday when there will be a sale, an exhibition and window displays.
Children visiting the store will be given free sweets and anyone buying items will receive their goods in a commemorative bag.
