Bugbrooke has a very active Baptist Church, doing particularly good work for youth under the ministry of the Rev. Noel Stanton.
The church, recently given a new manse, was built in 1805 and distinguished men in its history include John Turland Brown of Bugbrooke, who became president of the Baptist union of England and Wales, and a latter son of Northamptonshire; the Rev Earnest. A. Payne, minister at Bugbrooke from 1928 to 1932, who became General Secretary of the Baptist Union and vice-chairman of the World Council of Churches.
